Hello, Bob

So, this morning I looked like this –

and now I look like this –

I like it, I think!

I always sort of hate my hair whenever I get it chopped, but I’ve gone short several times now so apparently that’s not holding me back!  I ended up having 14 inches to give to Locks of Love, which is great.

A friend and I went during a long break between classes and it was fun to see people’s reactions when we got back.  “Wait, didn’t you have a pony-tail this morning?!?”  I surprised Adam too.  He picked me up from school and his mouth fell open when I walked out to the car!

BC (before the cut) I ate half of this Coconut Chocolate Chip Clif Bar for breakfast.

And AC (after the cut) I bought a great green juice.

This was blend of spinach, kale, carrot, and cucumber; from a new spot just blocks from my apartment.

This was so good, and “only” $4.  I predict I’ll be there more often than I can afford!

Adam picked me up after school so we could make a quick grocery trip.  We each picked something from the cookie bar for funsies before we did boring stuff like toilet paper.

I chose cinnamon nut rugala and I’m now on the hunt for a rugala recipe to make at home.

While I was fixing Adam’s dinner I snacked on some canned pineapple over 1% cottage cheese.

My dinner was supposed to be some of Monday’s “leftovers,” leftover.

A heaping bowl of pasta, shredded chicken, and tons of peas, topped with parmesan, cranberry relish, and a drizzle of evoo.

I love this bowl so much more than I do anything I eat on Thanksgiving.  But I got up to do something halfway through and when I came back there was a dog face in my bowl!  Webster’s sort of an asshole.

Instead I ate this Smart Ones Brocoli and Cheddar Roasted Potatoes.

Not as good as the dinner I shared with the dog, but not as bad as it looks either.

Have you ever given to Locks of Love?  If you have long hair – how many times have you gone short?

  1. I LOVE your hair. I have recently been trying to grow my hair out, but I think you look AMAZING with short hair. Hopefully yor new cut will be easy to take care of! 😀

  2. Very, very cute cut. I donated mine to Pantene’s Beautiful Length program in August. I’ve done Locks of Love before, too, but they require an additional two inches and I’d lost my patience for this time. Everytime I say “I’m not doing this again” because it really does require a lot of patience on my part and each time I’ve done it again… only time will tell if I do it a third time. 🙂

  3. EMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! It looks so cute and it has to feel so good and “freeing” almost to get rid of that much hair! I did the same thing right after our wedding and it was freeing – and i totally felt more sassy (lame – I know – but true!) 😛 LOVE LOVE LOVE IT – you look wonderful, and I’m so happy you donated your hair. Work it hot mama!

  4. Wow, I love your hair!!! It’s a great update!!! 🙂 Seriously, you pull it off really well. I like it better than your long hair! (Not to say your long hair wasn’t lovely, of course.)

It’s a real pity that Webster attacked your dinner, because it looked GOOD. If our dog did that, I’d probably still eat it…I’d just remove a noodle or two from the top or something. 😉

    • I haven’t done much running lately! More like none 😦

I actually half joined the cross country team in high school (I was also on cheerleading so I could only attend half of the practices) because the cute boy I liked was on it. <– I married him! In addition to getting me a date, I discovered that a) I totally suck at running and b) I totally love to run.

    • Thanks!

I didn’t realize how crazy long it was either; I didn’t see that pic until after the cut and it actually made me sort of sad!

  6. Your hair looks great! It really frames your face so nicely! I keep going back and forth about whether or not to chop my hair off. lol 🙂
