Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Smoothie

My husband has declared this my best smoothie ever.  It really does taste like a liquid oatmeal cookie.  The raisins add a bit of sweetness so depending on how ripe your banana is you may or may not need the additional sweetener.

Yields: 1 serving; Hands-on Time: 2 minutes; Total Time: 7 minutes

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 heaping Tbsp raisins
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • small frozen banana
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1-2 Tbsp light brown sugar, to taste
  1. Place oats, chia seeds, raisins, and milk in your blender and allow to soak for 5 minutes.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
