I Blame UPS

My food choices today were craptastic.  Not in the undelicious, unenjoyable kind of way; more in an absolutely no nutritional value kind of way.  It was just one of those days.

A serving of yellow tortilla chips (er, x2).

A serving of Guylian chocolate shells (um, also x2).

Pizza eggs.

Which are so gloriously delicious as to have earned their own recipe page.

A big messy serving of leftover salsa verde chicken bake.

Amid lots of frustrating errands (I HATE UPS!) I also went for a run.  I did the same route as Sunday but shaved two minutes off my time.

  • 5minutes walking
  • 11minutes running
  • 2minutes walking
  • 2minutes running
  • 2minutes walking
  • 2minutes running

In the end it was 2.6miles and 24minutes.  It wasn’t the best run though, my calves are feeling really tight.  Plus I felt thirsty and sluggish.  I wonder if my eats today had anything to do with it?  It is becoming more and more clear to me that I feel better when I fuel myself properly; duh!

Not to say that the realization stopped me from “letting” the husband buy me a strawberry banana split milkshake later on.

But it had fruit on top, so it was more like a smoothie, right? 😉

Any companies you’d like to flame?  UPS gets the full passion of my hate.  They deliver during business hours only (retarded) and the man who does our route didn’t even ring the doorbell, just stuck a “sorry we missed you” sticker on the door (should be illegal), I was home, he shouldn’t have “missed” me!!!

  1. I’m so glad I live in a building where they leave all deliveries at the clubhouse… I hated having to track down packages!

But now it’s just a matter of getting to the management building before they close… ugh. It’s like a neverending chase…

  2. I think my mailman gets lazy with the stickers, too. And I have a Masters degree, so I think it is fair to say I am of average intelligence, at least. But I can not decipher the “sorry we missed you” slip from the post office. Are you bringing it back tomorrow? Do I have to sign this thingy?

Also, Babies R Us is evil, trust me. I think they do everything in their power to screw over their customers.

  3. ive had so many issues with UPS! they can be a big headache.!!!!

MmMMMmmmM such a delish looking shake. yea haha you “let” him buy you one. made me laugh girl ❤ that looked rediculous… i think id "let" someone buy me one for sure 😛

    xoxo

  4. I don’t really understand. You make a big deal of changing your eating habits to get back to your “normal” way of eating, are going to school to be an RD, but you repeatedly make poor food choices and then use your blog to complain and act like eating crap isn’t normal for you…? I’m sorry, but I’ve been reading since “eatingchalk,” and from your posts, junk food IS your normal diet.

    • You’re correct, Dana, I do enjoy eating some junk food. And as I’ve said in multiple posts, I don’t plan on not eating junk food. Normal for me is ALSO eating lots of fruits and veggies. By the way, my “complaint” was a joke. If I’m eating crap it’s because I’ve choosen to, not because I don’t have control over myself. Perhaps you have some emotional eating demons of your own?
