Confessions Post VI

Click here to see confessions I, II, III, IV, V.

Confession #1 – I’ve been neglecting the blog this week because I’ve got an unshakable malaise and I didn’t want to subject others to whiny posts about eating ice cream.  I also haven’t worked out since I got back from vacation and I’m feeling a little awkward about it.  The real confession is that I think part of the problem is that I’m thrown by turning 26 this month!

Confession #2 – I woke up at 6am this morning and made myself a grilled cheese sandwich.

Confession #3 – When I was 15 my parents let me pierce my belly button in exchange for attendance at a Saturday math skills camp.  The camp was cancelled the week after I got pierced.

Confession #4 – I have a Groupon for a month of hot yoga that kicked in on Monday but hasn’t been used yet.  I’m afraid I will be a huffy, sweaty walrus in a room of hot-hot yoga girls.  I’m making myself go tomorrow morning and I’m nervous.

Confession #5 – I couldn’t think of a final confession so instead I’m asking you guys to confess…

  1. How do you feel about getting older?
  2. What was the first thing you ate this morning?
  3. Is your belly button pierced?
  4. Yoga is supposed to be about yourself, not competition; how good are you at keeping your eyes on your own mat?
  5. Buffalo readers/bloggers – what nights are you available next week for a meet up???

  1. Hey, I live in Buffalo and go to bikram yoga! Where about were you going to go? I wonder if it’s the same place. The one I go to is on main street near starbucks. Also I see that you go to Moe’s a lot. I work there! I wonder if I will see you sometime :).

    • I didn’t even realize that there is a yoga place on main street, I’m going to evolation yoga on elmwood. Have you ever been there? (I’d love a workout partner….)

That’s so funny that you work at Moes, say hi if you ever recognize me! We are hoping to do a Buffalo blogger/reader meet-up next week, are you in?

  2. You got away good with that bargain! haha. I’m a bit anxious about getting older and I’m only 21. Since college, I feel like my life is flying by! I ate oatmeal when I woke up this morning, and my belly button isn’t pierced.

I’m available Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, but could probably make Wednesday, too. 🙂

  3. How do you feel about getting older?
Eeek! At least K-Pax already turned 26 and survived! You can test it out for a few months for me and let me know how it goes. I’ve decided I am turning 25 again in November…
What was the first thing you ate this morning?
Coffee! And I need to go eat something else.
    Is your belly button pierced?
No, but as you know, my nose is!
Yoga is supposed to be about yourself, not competition; how good are you at keeping your eyes on your own mat?
    I wanna do yoga!
Buffalo readers/bloggers – what nights are you available next week for a meet up???
I wish I was in Buffalo with you and Adam. I miss youuuuuu!

  4. Wow, I feel old now. 🙂 I’m free Monday, Thurs, Sat, and Sun next week. I know the feeling about yoga. I think it might be why I stopped going. All those girls standing on their heads and me huffing and puffing and teetering. But I do have a coupon for elovation (sp?) on Elmwood… maybe I will check it out!

  5. I just turned 36, but it really doesn’t phase me at all 🙂 I think a combination of oily skin (my mom always told me I would be thankful about it some day, and I honestly think that has had a huge role in me still looking really young) eating healthy and attitude has kept me feeling this way. I never cared about aging, and I’m still very young at heart- and it doesn’t hurt that everyone always mistakes me for being 8-10 years younger. I’m beginning to wonder when I *will* start to age- I’m not looking forward to it, necessarily, but I’m really happy with where I am. I used to think my age was much older till I got here, and really, it ain’t nothing 😉 You’ll have time to feel old when you’re 55+ !

  6. I FREAK THE HECK OUT about getting olderr. Time moves so much more quickly as each year becomes a smaller percentage of my life. BUT I’ve never been happier than I am now, so I feel like maybe I should relax a bit.

  7. Getting older scares the shit out of me, and it really wounds my inner narcissism. (Seriously.)
The first thing I ate this morning was a Clif Crunchy bar. ❤
My belly button was pierced from 1998-2006. I took it out for an MRI and just didn't care to put it back in. I was over it!
I'm so worried about falling over in yoga that I can't do anything BUT pay attention to myself. 😉
I live in New Jersey. 😦 Boo!

    Feel better, Emily!

  8. i love hot yoga. i don’t like bikram but i love hot yoga (Moksha). its normal to be nervous but im thinking you will love it..unless you really really really hate sweating 😛

    xoxo ❤

  9. I used to eat grilled cheese sandwiches at all hours of the day when I was preggo. Always satisfying.

Hate getting older. Hate my birthday. Ick.
    A handful of almonds.
It used to be, now it’s just a gross stretched out mess.
I’m always comparing myself to others in yoga…always.

    Good luck at yoga tomorrow!

  10. Life is a journey. Age is a number. Each day is a gift. Next time you blink, you’ll wish you were twenty-six..get off your butt, open your eyes, life is a miracle.
