There was no post this morning because I still wasn’t hungry at breakfast time. Instead I put away the laundry from last night, whoops! Then we used the metro to head up to Adam’s campus. I have to use the car to get to my classes so he will be taking the train most days. He got some immunizations done and we got our parking passes.
At noon I was finally hungry so we tried out the Tim Horton’s across the street from campus.

I know that this place is famous for coffee, but I was really wanting fountain diet coke! I ordered a 6in whole wheat turkey sub.

It was pretty so-so but the mustard was fabulous, it was really runny and sweet; does anyone know what kind this might have been? I doubt we will be going back to Tim Horton’s much – we try not to eat a ton of fast food so if I’m going for it I’m going for Wendy’s! – but I did really like that they didn’t waste plastic. Places with ‘for here plates’ always get points in my book.
Our meals came with doughnuts so I ate half of a maple glazed.

I love maple (my mommy’s favorite flavor) so it was ok, but I still don’t see what all the fuss is about doughnuts. Growing up on an island I don’t remember tasting one until college and I was thoroughly unimpressed.
After lunch we took the metro back home and then walked to the hospital so I could get my TB test cleared. I also spoke to the office about shortening my hours, looking at the husband’s schedule 4 was a little late for us. Now I will be going from 8-2, Monday – Thursday, for the next three weeks.
We have more errands to run (post office, Goodwill, Target), so I will leave you with pictures of the new apartment, enjoy!

What is your favorite room in your spot? In this apartment mine is the dining room!

I like!! My favorite space in my spot is my porch 🙂 I’m up on the second floor & with a huge wooden deck covered in orchids and fresh potted herbs overlooking a lake with a beautiful water feature (which lights up at night!) and a big green tree with playful squirrels and iguana’s hanging overhead. Whether I’m outside at night grilling some eggplant or lounging on the weekend with a book, it’s definitely my top spot!
CasePlace – that sounds gorgeous! Also, the fact that you have squirrels AND iguanas makes me super jealous 🙂
Thanks for sharing the photos of your new place, I love seeing other people’s spaces 🙂 Is that a bunkbed frame working as a closet? That’s really a neat idea! I’m not sure I have a favorite place in my apartment. I just moved and I’m still getting used to it…but I do like my bedroom.
emlit81 – yes, that bed is in fact a closet. My in-laws bought it for us in our studio to be our bed/closet but it was so uncomfortable we slept on the futon for two years. We were looking forward to retiring it fully this year but it turns out our new place has no closet (!!!) so thank God we kept it!
Such a cute place!!
My favorite spot = my bedroom.
Emily! You have a bathroom! Now when I visit my ass will actually fit in your bathroom, Lol!
My fave place in my house is my kitchen because that’s where the magic happens.
Love you!
Camile – you should bring your now-fitting-ass up here to visit me!
o0o0o it’s so cute! Were those flowers already painted on the walls when you moved in?
I love, love, love the kitchen. It is the reason we bought our house.
keunger – the flowers are actually wall decals we bought and stuck on. I was so proud of my design skills with those 🙂
Cute apartment! 🙂 I like your kitchen. My favorite spot is downstairs in the home theatre. My hubby and I can sit down there ALL day long some days lol
I LOVE all the art around your place, it’s really nice! 🙂
I’ve also heard good things about coffee at that place. At home, my favorite room is the living room because it’s spacious and bright with comfy couches…At school, my favorite room is MY room because of my huge bed!
