I am not much of a shopper, much to my mother’s chagrin. The woman can spend days at the mall, while I start to feel itchy after just a few hours. It’s not that I’m not materialistic, I totally am, it’s just that the thought of adding more stuff to my life makes it hard to breathe. But I like the idea of things. So I’m an avid window shopper. I browse catalogs I’ll never buy from and hold my breathe when I pass the window at J.Crew. So while I’m stuck at school on Wednesdays, I thought we could have some fun via blog. Let’s window shop!
Here’s what I’m coveting this week –
1. Mini Chocolate Quail Eggs from Knipschildt.
A milk chocolate nougatine center coated with white chocolate. These would be so cute as part of the place settings for brunch. You know, for all the brunches I host! They would also be fun in a child’s Easter basket. Maybe a mini Easter basket? You know, for all my kids.
2. Paper drinking straws from Magnolia Bakery.
I already own a set of plastic reusable straws but when I take a drink to-go I use throw-aways I’ve stolen from Subway. This would be a much classier option. Plus, they’d be adorable in mimosas at all of those brunches I throw.
3. The Tea Time Assortment from Magnolia Bakery.
It’s a Magnolia week, huh? I actually never went to Magnolia Bakery when I was living in the city – I had my own favorite cupcake spot, thank you very much – but some of their non-cupcake options are pretty neat. Tea and shortbread is the combination and the shortbread in this package is dipped in chocolate and non-pariels.
4. Drop Dead Healthy by A.J. Jacobs.
Basically, it’s a memoir from a man who gave every healthy living tip a try. Jacobs already read an entire encyclopedia in Know It All and I adored reading about it so I think I’ll be a fan. His work tends to be educational with lots of self-deprecating humor, just my style.
5. Mix & Match Polka Dot Silverware from Site NYC.
I love the look of a mix and matched table so it’s nice that this set comes pre-mixed. The polka dots are fun and everything is dishwasher safe.
How often do you host brunch?

Those straws!! And the silverwear!! NEED. I think you and I must have the same 5 year old mentality when it comes to colors…the more the prettier.
Pretty much 🙂
