I’m Free!

Can we talk about how excited I was to get out of the house today?  I spent Tuesday – Friday inside, all day, on the couch, with my foot up.  Ugh!  I can’t really walk normally but I could hobble well enough to do a grocery trip with the hubby.

I took my first foot-in shower this morning and it ate up breakfast time so we ended up getting lunch at Wegmans.

Udon veggie noodles,

and veggies.

I also had a tasty piece of Adam’s sushi.

Whilst grocery shopping I also spotted this –

I don’t think it’s quite what Angela had in mind 🙂

The plan now is to head to the Spot for some school work, be back for dinner!

What’s the longest time you’ve spent cooped up inside?  I’d say 5 days is definitely a record for me, one I hope never to break!

  1. Ahh what a great feeling! I was stuck at my apartment in Boulder for 3 days once because of snow. And I was all alone and without food – it was horrible.

  2. I had to LOL at the Green Monsta too! Not sure she would have THAT for breakfast!
Although I love the way snow looks, I really hate the cold. I don’t have to work, so I can go days and days without leaving the house 😀
I love Wegmans and Andersons! When my kids were little they always ordered the Boston Cooler because it wasn’t on the menu and they thought they were all important ha!
Glad you got out and restored your sanity!

      • It’s Vernors ginger ale and vanilla ice cream. I thought there might be one other ingredient so I wiki’d it (there isn’t anything else btw)

“A Boston cooler is an ice cream soda drink made from Vernors and vanilla ice cream, named not after Boston, Massachusetts, where Vernors is practically unknown, but after Detroit’s Boston Boulevard, where it was supposedly invented”

It’s kind of spicy, not really sweet

  3. I broke a leg and a rib this summer & spent the better part of a month working from home, barely leaving the house! I know for sure the first 8 days I didn’t venture out, and then after that it was sporadic outings. Not fun at all!! Glad to hear you’re out & about!
