No post from me the past week because we were on vacation! Adam and I spent time in DC and Virginia seeing family and friends and admiring the Cherry Blossoms and Dogwoods.

I left my camera home but wanted to mention a few of our favorites for further reference. Alphabetically…

Guajiro’s Miami Eatery {Charlottesville} – fantastic Cuban food. They serve our favorite Colada coffee.

Grisette {Richmond} – we had house-made charcuterie and fettuccine that blew me away.

Mas {Charlottesville} – tapas. Their bread is a must-order.

Parkway Deli {Silver Spring} – I grew up coming here and it’s currently the best it’s ever been. They have a pickle bar! And we had our all-time favorite bowl of matzoh ball soup.

Renwick {DC} – our favorite American gallery.

Rose Ave Bakery {DC} – we had a wonderful banana iced latte and taro and cheese kouign amann.

Tail Up Goat {DC} we grew up with one of the owners so this Caribbean food is perfectly nostalgic. Also delicious and the service is fantastic.

Yellow {DC} – a Levantine cafe serving great eggs stuffed in wood-fired pitas.

P.S. We are spending today at home with Webster (LOOK at this adorable photo the vet got of him!) and tomorrow we scored dinner reservations at Theodora before we have to go back to work!
