this post is about my personal home improvements. And I use the term “home improvement” both figuratively and literally here. You will have an opportunity for some (literal) home improvement too; scroll on down to the bottom if you are looking for the giveaway.
I didn’t do any school work this weekend, but I certainly spent some time crying about it – I’d say there’s a lot of room for improvement there, don’t you think?! Today is all about getting myself on the right track. I started my morning at 7; I took a refreshing shower, I brewed a pot of coffee, and then I got down to business. I have a ton to do still, but now I’ve made a dent and the list seems more manageable.
Sidenote – Target’s Archer Farms Cinnamon Vanilla Nut coffee is fabulous.
I’ve had two big cups throughout the morning, with skim milk and a cinnamon sugar sprinkle.
As proud as I am of my scholarly achievements, I’d say the biggest improvement of the day relates more to the shower. We share a small deck with all of our neighbors. Said deck is directly in front of our bathroom. I’d say after almost 3 months of standing naked in front of the window to the shared deck it’s high time for a curtain!
My mother actually made the curtain for us (thanks lady!) and we love it. The pattern totally reminds me of our wedding!
The nudity thing wasn’t really a problem for me – I spend a good 50% of my time at home naked and none of our other windows have curtains! – but I love how much nicer the bathroom feels. I’m a long-time reader but I’m commenting for the first time. I planned on commenting BEFORE I saw that you were giving something away, mostly to tell you that I spent 2 years in a house with no bathroom curtain and would routinely walk around in the buff. That was until a neighbor told my grandparents (also my neighbors) that there was someone “inappropriate” living in the house next door. Oops! Thank God I’m not living there anymore. 😉
A room in my house to spiff up? Our basement! We’re making it into a game room and it would be cool to have some fun accessories in there. Cool giveaway!

Omg… I loved Home Improvement when I was little- and because I was that obsessed with JTT, I could have probably told you the exact episode that picture is from. Sad but true… 🙂
I think I need to figure out what more to do with my bedroom. I’m sure that something more on the walls would be nice, I just don’t know what!

OMG. My living room needs serious help. I want cute stuff (like the dachsund!) but I know I need slipcovers for my couches…I refuse to stick to old hand-me down leather for another summer!
Our bedroom most needs sprucing up.
Since we are the only ones who see it, we have sort of neglected it. We don’t even have a single thing hanging from the walls!

Our daughter and her two boys had to move in with us and we have a small ranch style home that doesn’t have enough bedrooms. We do have a basement that could be finished to help with bedroom space. We really need to do something.
